In partnership with the Iran House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT), the Haft O Hasht month-long series of webinars is still on course and has attracted a lot of startups and big players in the local technology sector.
The firms have already held the first webinar on 8th April where startup entrepreneurs learned a lot about how they can scale and grow their businesses later. Following this successful introductory webinar featuring success stories, the main event is set to begin on 20th April with the second webinar to hold discussions on Sales and Investment.
During this main event, there will be an array of highly ranked speakers in the local technology space including the Chairman and Publisher at DX5, Harry Hare. Other keynote speakers include business coaches Janice Kemoli (Kenya) and Farhad Rasouli (Iran).
On the following day, 21st April, there will be a pitch clinic where start-ups will get to learn how to pitch their ideas according to international standards. The startups entrepreneurs will learn how to maximise their potential when looking for sponsors.
The pitch clinic will be graced by Ali Hussein as the Keynote speaker as well as Tracy Mwangi (Kenya) and Mehdi Mohammadi (Iran) as the business coaches.
After the pitch clinic, there will be a few days set aside to facilitate the shortlist of qualified participants, who will then be mentored and have a pre-pitch session. This will then be followed by the International Demo Day, set to be held on 12th May, whereby the final start-ups will get to pitch their ideas to investors who would potentially invest in their ideas.
Based on the success rate of the introductory webinar, there will be a lot that will be expected from the concurrent events. With the speaker line up, there is a lot that the start-up entrepreneurs will learn from the big players in the market.
