The African Civic Engagement Academy (ACEA) is a free on-line coaching program and networking alternative supplied to chose mid-career NGO and public sector leaders throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
The Academy is meant for mid-career people with demonstrated management expertise in NGO, non-profit, or public sector roles. House is proscribed and functions are aggressive.
WORTH
Chosen members will obtain on-line instruction and take part in peer discussions organised into three brief programs:
- Rules of Civic Engagement, together with methods for NGO, non-profit, and authorities sector leaders to advocate and have interaction with each other.
- Political Inclusion, overlaying steps that may be taken to enhance the political and social inclusion of underrepresented communities.
- Media Administration, together with the function of previous and new media as a bridge between authorities and civil society.
ELIGIBILITY
- Be between the ages of 30 and 45 as of January 1, 2021.
- Serve in a management function with a civil society organisation (together with NGOs and non-profit neighborhood organisations) or a authorities unit answerable for partaking with the general public.
- Have a demonstrated report of main civic engagement efforts, together with tasks and packages to advocate, interact, and talk in an inclusive means.
