The University of Hong Kong Department of Chemistry calls application for Postdoctoral Fellowship. Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Position Summary
The appointee will participate in multidisciplinary research to develop a big data/machine learning/scientific computing platform for utilizing novel photoluminescent materials in OLED. Moreover, it is a 5-year large-scale project supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission which aims to transfer the success of research in luminescent materials and OLED to industrial application. Working off-campus may be necessary.
Benefits
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
Requirements
Candidates must have the following qualifications to be eligible for this Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Hong Kong
- A Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Electronic Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- A strong background in the fabrication of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and/or organic microelectronics.
- Good publication track record and experience in conducting and managing scientific research.
- Demonstrated expertise in the research field relevant to the platform project mentioned below are necessary.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- The ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and external parties including academics and industrial society.
